Our Mission

Our mission is simple – provide Veterans and Military personnel with opportunities to experience the healing powers of golf, connect them to fellow Veterans, and provide contacts for important Veteran benefit programs. Through free instructional clinics, leagues, tournaments, outreach initiatives and more.   Veterans and Military members are provided ample opportunities to enjoy the game of golf and build camaraderie.

Doug Temple, PGA

Michigan PGA Adult Player Development Award Recipient 2018, 2019, 2020 for Veterans Golf Initiatives

PGA Professional Doug Temple is a graduate of Ferris State Universities prestigious Professional Golf Management Program and holds a Bachelors degree in Business Marketing. Doug has achieved Certified PGA Professional status from the PGA of America and is certified in golf business operations.  Coach Temples thirty year teaching experience includes working for Golf Digest and National Teacher of the Year Jack Lumpkin, Being named Director of Instruction for Nike Golf Learning Centers at Celebration Golf Club, coaching at the college and high school level, along with being Head PGA Professional at Indian River Golf Club, Celebration Golf Club, and Mt. Pleasant Country Club.  Doug’s passion for golf and youth development lead him to form the Bullseye Golf Foundation in 2007 which has brought the game to thousands of youth.  Doug’s commitment to serving community is represented in positions as;  YMCA of Saginaw Director of Operations, board member First Tee Eastern Michigan, Committee member First Tee Great Lakes Bay Region Advisory Group, Board Member Exchange Club of Saginaw, Board Member Positive Results Downtown Saginaw,  past President of Ferris State Universities Professional Golf Management Alumni Association and former Ferris State University Alumni Board member.

Doug’s passion for game and commitment to supporting the Military who serve our country lead him to forming the Michigan Military Golf Association.   In 2022 coach Doug became certified to teach the PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) disabled Veteran golf curriculum.  For several years coach Doug has provided instructional programs to Veterans and their families throughout the Great Lakes Bay Region. After seeing how the game positively impacted the participants and improved their quality of life Doug knew the initiative had to be expanded to reach Veterans throughout the entire state and beyond.
